The Dog Rocks

The Dog Rocks (a Low Gothic approximation loanword of the orkish Dogrok]) are a series of gravitationally unstable asteroids that cluster around the rimward mouth of the Scallop Stars. Every so often, one will be dragged into the passage and be ejected into Imperial or Tau space.

The attached false-colour pict shows the effect on dust and dwarf planets the high gravity blue sun exerts – flinging them periodically eastwards (or occasionally out of the sector entirely!)

Many aspiring orks warbands make the most of this relatively reliable method of space travel to launch brutal and devastating assaults on human or tau settlements.
